Meet mR. Yousefpour
I studied Medicine and Dentistry in Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels (Belgium) and graduated from medical school in 1993 and subsequently from dental school in 1995. I started my residency in oral surgery in the same place and have been awarded with certificate of completion of training in oral surgery in 1997.
Subsequently, I moved to UK and completed my basic surgical training including general surgery, orthopaedics and trauma as well as maxillofacial surgery.
Achieved the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Surgery in General) in June 2000, followed by the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) in October 2000 and finally the Fellowship in Dentistry of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in April 2001.
I was appointed in West Midlands Higher Surgical Training Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in May 2001 and achieved my Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in September 2005.
I was appointed as an Oral and Maxillofacial /Head and Neck/Skull Base/Reconstructive Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and as Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Sheffield in July 2006 In November 2006,
I have completed a three months Head and Neck/ Microvascular Fellowship in Head and Neck Institute of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin, India. My NHS practice is based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals where I operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My outpatient cancer clinic is on Monday afternoon and my general outpatient clinic is on Friday morning.
I am fluent in English, French, Italian and Persian and my interests are travelling and computers.
